Reduce the incidence of mosquito-borne diseases
Mosquitoes transmit over 27 known diseases infecting over 1 billion people every year, killing one person every 30 seconds. We have a highly effective product to help solve this public health crisis!
Help feed the world population
It is estimated that 20% to 40% of crops worldwide are lost every year due to plagues. We are developing target-specific bioinsecticides to enhance crop protection.
Deliver safer and heathier food to our table
Toxic pesticides currently used for crop protection remain in the environment for a long time, and end up in our food. We develop biodegradable products, leaving no residues in the environment nor in the food that arrives at our homes.
Protect the fauna and flora
The use of toxic pesticides to protect crops damages the environment, and contaminates our groundwater. Our goal is to develop target-specific products, to control the intended insects keeping the ecosystem balanced.
MOUSTICIDE – Innovative solution to fight mosquitoes and only mosquitoes
This highly effective, non-toxic and biodegradable, biopesticide kills the larvae, interrupting the mosquito’s life-cycle, protecting your family and community without exposing your loved ones and pets to toxic substances.
The Company
Entogenex Europe is now called Neovictus!
Since our inception, our mission is to collaborate for a greener, better world! Among other things, this means improving our relationship with the environment, how we produce our food and our way of life. Neovictus represents better that mission: Neo (new, in Greek) + victus (way of life/livelihood, in Latin).
We are focused on developing solutions for both agricultural and urban plagues that are harmful to crop production and/or human health. We target the insect’s digestive system and develop target-specific biopesticides non-toxic to the environment and biodegradable.
We are based in Portalegre, Portugal, but the concept of “think global” has been there from the beginning. Our project originated in the United States and travelled around the world, to Malaysia, Singapore and Brazil, before landing in Portugal, where we consolidated the knowledge and are developing products for livestock and crop protection.
Farmers need to use increasing amounts of toxic substances to protect their crops and increase food production. The pesticides used remain on our food and soil long after harvest. This occurs everywhere in the world. This is a global problem, and we believe we will need a global solution. Our mindset is to make a relevant contribution to this solution!
We understand we are only part of the global solution, so we have created a network of partners to help us achieve our goal.
Between commercial and technological partners, suppliers, consumers and researchers, our network covers Europe, Africa, American continent, the Caribbean, and Asia.
If you want to be part of this solution, reach out to us! Join us in this mission!
In the World
Neovictus still maintains an international presence.
With an increasingly global market, maintaining a close connection with its partners and distributors, it expands its solutions to help combat mosquito pests that are a real threat today.
Portugal, Spain, Brazil, Colombia, Trinidad & Tobago, Guatemala, Mexico, United States of America, Indonesia.

Entogenex Europe was founded in 2018 with headquarters in Portalegre. We are a biotechnological company aimed at the research, development and production of products capable of controlling mosquitoes that transmit diseases or agricultural pests.
The objective of this project, called “Entogenex Europe”, is to build a pilot unit for the production of the non-toxic and biodegradable insecticide, Mousticide.
Mousticide effectively eradicates mosquito-borne diseases such as Malaria, Dengue, Zika, Chikungunya, Yellow Fever, Japanese Encephalitis and West Nile Virus.
The product is obtained through the fermentation of specific yeasts and has two forms of presentation: wettable powder for dispersion in water and fumigation and impregnated rice husk for application in larvae proliferation sites.
The financing of this project has an important role not only for the development of the company, but also for the development of new products for public health and the agrifood sector worldwide.

Agricultural production increasingly uses pesticides to control pests and other crop problems. Such products are, in general, toxic and leave residues in food and soil, contaminating not only groundwater, but also the food chain. On the other hand, there is a growing prospect of a healthier diet, organic farming, that has a high cost when compared to foods grown with synthetic chemicals.
Through an innovative technology, we intend to study economically and socially significant pests for agriculture in Brazil, with the aim of developing a specific biopesticide for local agriculture. We believe that our approach can represent a paradigm shift in the treatment of agricultural pests.
